Kissing musicians?
Posted in Bits and PiecesDid you know that brass and woodwind players “kiss” their instruments when they play? Look at these pictures and you’ll see why! The position of the player’s mouth around the reed or mouthpiece is called an ”embouchure”, which comes from the French word “boucher” meaning “to kiss”.
Now there’s a bit of information I’ll bet you never knew!
